Every 4th of July, the City of Westlake turns FourthFest into the anchor event of its summer calendar — a full weekend of live music, family programming, and a headline fireworks finale. For 2026, GPS was brought in to design and deliver the entire production package, from the stage deck to the last lighting cue.

The centerpiece was our Apex 3224 mobile stage, rolled in and deployed on site with full weather protection and a clean, camera-ready roof line. Mobile staging lets a municipal event get a true concert footprint without the multi-day build of a scaffold stage — critical when the park has to stay open to the public right up to load-in.

Audio was a line array hang with ground-stacked subs, tuned for wide, even coverage across an open field. Outdoor shows are unforgiving: too much throw and you are pushing sound into neighborhoods, too little and the back of the lawn hears nothing. We time-aligned the system to the field, not the stage, so the mix held together from the barricade to the far edge of the crowd.

Lighting carried the show from a daytime family festival into a night-time concert. Moving heads, washes, and beams on the upstage truss gave the headline set real production value, while front light kept everything clean for video and photography.

LED video handled both IMAG and content playback — sponsor recognition during the day, live camera during performances, and a countdown into the fireworks. For a city event, that screen does a lot of quiet work: it keeps sponsors visible and gives the crowd something to focus on between sets.

One vendor, one production plan, one point of contact for the city's team. That is the part municipal clients tell us matters most — nobody wants to coordinate five separate rental companies on the busiest day of the year.
